Hello :) Here I am again. After seeing all the rainbows in people's windows on our daily dog walk and being reminded that I hadn't yet made one for ours, yesterday I made a htr rainbow for my own window and I'm sharing the pattern with you here. I'll look out for yours when I walk by :D
It's simply made a from a circle of htr (US hdc) folded in half, working two rounds in each colour. Join each round with a slip stitch to top of first htr and remember the first two chain of each round does not count as a stitch.
I used Ricorumi DK cotton in 7 rainbow shades with Ricorumi DK Lame in gold to finish and a 4mm hook. You can use any yarn or any amount of colours you wish, just adjust your hook size or number of rows to suit.
(UK htr = US hdc)
Using Purple, make 3ch.
Rnd 1: 9htr in third ch from hook. join with sl st to top of first htr. (9sts)
Rnd 2: 2ch (does not count as first st), 2htr in each st around, join with sl st to top of first htr. (18sts)
Rnd 3: Using Blue, 2ch, (htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (27sts)
Rnd 4: 2ch, (2htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (36sts)
Rnd 5: Using Green, 2ch, (3htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (45sts)
Rnd 6: 2ch, (4htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (54sts)
Rnd 7: Using Yellow, 2ch, (5htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (63sts)
Rnd 8: 2ch, (6htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (72sts)
Rnd 9: Using Orange, 2ch, (7htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (81sts)
Rnd 10: 2ch, (8htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (90sts)
Rnd 11: Using Red, 2ch, (9htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (99sts)
Rnd 12: 2ch, (10htr, 2htr in next st) nine times, join with sl st to top of first htr. (108sts)
Finishing:
Fasten off, fold circle in half and sl st around edge. I used gold yarn.
Make a hanging loop from ch st and it's done.
